VISIA® Skin Analysis

The 7th Generation VISIA® Skin Analysis System redefines the landscape of aesthetic and skincare consultations, offering a significantly enhanced experience. This cutting-edge system offers a significantly enhanced experience with its newly designed capture module that smoothly rotates around the subject. This innovation not only streamlines the imaging process but also prioritizes client comfort, setting a new standard in skin care assessments.

Facial Analysis

How does it work?

With a newly designed capture module smoothly rotating around the subject the imaging process is simplified, ensuring greater client comfort. Inteliflash®, cross-polarized and UV lighting are used to record and measure surface and subsurface skin conditions. UV photography provides the most complete data for sun damage assessment and analysis, including UV fluorescence imaging to reveal porphyrins. The updated software facilitates faster image capture and includes automatic skin type classification, refined facial feature detection, and more.

FAQs

1.- What factors influence the results of the image session?

Several factors contribute to the actual scores generated by the VISIA complexion analysis algorithms. These include the skin condition (whether it is cleaned or has fresh makeup, old makeup, time of day), head registration within the booth, facial expression (particularly for wrinkles), stray hair, and glare areas resulting from oily skin. It is important to note that the percentile scores corresponds to subjects with cleaned skin before their imaging session. Therefore, results may vary if makeup is not removed prior to a patient’s VISIA session.

2.- Do I need to close the eyes while the picture is taken?

We recommend that your eyes be closed for the UV photos given the intensity of the UV flashes. For standard photos, the eyes can be either open or closed, although more aesthetically pleasing images are captured with the eyes open. Because the mask uses the standard photo (in which the patient’s eyes are typically open), there is no need to be concerned that eyelashes will be included inadvertently in UV analysis, even though the patient’s eyes are closed.
